The Importance of Sunscreen

OK OK...I know you've heard it a millions times before, but you just can't emphasize enough the importance of a sunscreen in any well-groomed man's arsenal.  Not only will it help to fight deadly...yes deadly...melanoma and other nasty cancers, but it will help you look youthful and wrinkle free for years to come.  Here are a few tips for sunscreen that help you get through the summer without ending up looking like a piece of beef jerky.

- Get a daily moisturizer that contains an SPF of at least 15.  This way you put it on in the morning like you normally would and you've already started protecting yourself.

- Carry some sunscreen made for faces in your car.  This way you can reapply through out the day.  If you drive a convertible you better listen to me!

- If you get wet or have wiped off a lot throughout the day, reapply every 3-4 hours for the best protection.

- Don't forget your eyes!  There are specially formulated sunscreens that are gentle enough to go around your eyes.  Without it you may end up with deep crows feet that will have people calling you Gramps long before they should.
